CHPA is the highly-regarded, not-for-profit association that represents the manufacturers of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as their consumers in the United States.
Founded in 1881, CHPA is one of the oldest trade associations in the United States. It has built an active network of leading manufacturers of healthcare products which provide millions of Americans with safe, effective, and convenient therapies for the treatment and prevention of many common ailments and diseases.
One of CHPA’s key priorities is to support the vital role of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements in America’s healthcare system. As an associate member, HERMES PHARMA aims to promote user-friendly dosage forms – such as effervescent tablets and orally disintegrating granules – to consumers in the US. User-friendly dosage forms are ones that taste good and are easy to ingest even if they contain large amounts of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). People are more likely to follow their treatment plan if medicines are user-friendly.
