OUR HISTORY

Hermes Arzneimittel was founded in 1907 with the aim of fostering healthy living. The company initially specialized in herbal teas and has expanded ever since. It produced its first effervescent vitamin tablet in the early 1960’s and has constantly extended its product portfolio.

Hermes Arzneimittel is now a leader in the development, production and marketing of ‘user-friendly’ medicines, food and dietary supplements. Rapid growth and new ventures, such as contract manufacturing, have strengthened the company’s business and ensured that the spirit of 1907 lives on 100 years later.

In the late 1980’s, HERMES PHARMA was established as a division to support other pharmaceutical companies and producers of food and dietary supplements to develop and manufacture new products, and take them successfully to market.
